Next month marks five years since we opened our doors — well, technically, we started walking through yours — as Lake Monticello’s first pet sitting service just for cats. What began as one cat lover’s promise to her neighbors has turned into five years of meet-and-greets, litter boxes scooped, laser pointers chased, and more cat photos texted to worried travelers than we could ever count.

Five years ago, it was just us, five cats of our own, and a promise that your cats would be cared for as if they were our own. That promise hasn’t changed one bit — but the number of feline families who’ve trusted us with it certainly has. We’ve been welcomed into more homes across Lake Monticello and Fluvanna County than we ever imagined back in 2021, and every single meet and greet still feels like the start of something special.
We’re still true cat people. We still believe in-home care beats boarding, every time. We still show up, scoop the litter, administer the medication, and stay for a few extra minutes of chin scratches because, honestly, that’s the best part of the job. And we’re still your neighbors — not a call center, not a franchise on autopilot, just Michele, showing up for your cats the way she’d want someone to show up for her own five.
