Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most from cat parents in Lake Monticello. If yours is not here, call, text, or email — we would love to chat.

Do I meet my cat sitter before I go out of town?

Absolutely. We would never send a stranger to your home that you and your cat have not met. Before your trip we schedule a meet and greet where I come to your home to meet you and your cat.

I do all the visits so your kitty always has a familiar, trusted face coming through the door.

Will you administer medication?

Yes. Many cats need daily medication, and I make sure your kitty never misses a dose while you are away. My experience covers:

  • Oral medications, pills or liquid
  • Subcutaneous fluids
  • Eye and ear drops
  • Topical medications
  • Insulin injections

We review dosage and schedule at your meet and greet, and there is no additional charge for medication administration.

Are there any additional fees?

No. Our pricing is simple, transparent, and all-inclusive. We do not charge extra for additional cats in your household — whether you have one cat or five, the rate is exactly the same.

We do not charge extra to administer medication either. Great cat care should not come with a long list of add-on fees.

My cat is very shy. How do you visit shy cats?

Many cats are shy or take time to warm up, and that is completely fine. I never force interaction — your cat sets the pace. I may sit quietly nearby, speak softly, or simply go about the visit while giving your kitty the space she needs.

Whether your cat greets me at the door or watches from under the bed, she is cared for, comfortable, and loved.

How do you access my home?

I accept a secure entry door or garage door code, stored confidentially in your Time to Pet portal, or a lockbox with a house key inside placed somewhere accessible and discreet.

For the security of your home, I am unable to accept loose keys or access methods outside those two options.

Can I schedule cat visits every other day?

All cats in my care must be visited at least once every 24 hours, no exceptions. This is a requirement of my insurance policy, and more importantly it is there for the wellbeing of your cat.

A lot can happen in 48 hours, and I never want your kitty to go without fresh food, clean water, a scooped litter box, or a loving face checking in. Daily visits also let me catch anything out of the ordinary early.

What is your payment policy?

Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. New clients enter payment details securely in the Time to Pet portal; after your meet and greet and once visits are confirmed, an invoice is sent and your card is charged.

I accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online system. We are unable to accept cash or checks.

What is your cancellation policy?

I do not charge cancellation fees. Payments made for cancelled services become account credit instead, and credits never expire.

To cancel or adjust a reservation, log into your Time to Pet portal or contact me directly. The sooner you let me know, the better I can accommodate your updated plans.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. MEOW! at the Lake is fully bonded and insured, so both your cat and your home are protected in any unexpected situation.
